Recipe of the Week: Real French Vinaigrette
In this recipe we use J. Leblanc Walnut or Hazelnut Oil. J. Leblanc starts with the careful selection of the absolute highest quality whole nuts available. J. Leblanc also has a fine selection of vinegars available at all three stores. The vinaigrette is great served over wild mixed greens, papaya, or poached chicken. Or just dress up an everyday salad with this exotic vinaigrette.

"Orange" You Glad It's Christmas?
Delicious clementines are always a favorite (and healthy) stocking stuffer. Irresistibly sweet and juicy, these clementines are imported from Spain every December. So easy to peel, and seedless, even the youngest will have no trouble peeling these for a mid-afternoon snack.

New! Virginia Bakery Schnecken
"Schnecken" simply means "snail" in German. A schnecken is made by rolling out a flat piece of dough, brushing it liberally with melted butter, and adding cinnamon, sugar, and raisins. It is rolled up into a long rope and cut into slices (that look like snails because of the coils). The original Virginia Bakery Schnecken is so buttery and delicious! But, they almost disappeared forever when the bakery closed its doors after almost a century in business. Good luck came to the rescue when the Thie family passed their trust to Busken Bakery. Meet the Busken Bakery folks this Saturday, December 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and sample their wonderful creations.
