In the beginning of August, conversations suddenly shift from chatter about summer plans to the imminent transition of seasons. Back-to-school time is a clear sign that the end of summer is nigh. But this doesn’t have to be the case, especially when it comes to what’s on your plate.
In fact, some of this summer’s hottest Love Local bounty is just kicking into high gear during this time of year (like those brilliant red local tomatoes that we get from the Eicher family and their friends). We’re going to savor each and every bite, and we want to help you do the same.

As you make your way to the displays of local fruits and vegetables piled high in our Produce departments, keep an eye out for a featured Love Local recipe, including those shown here, displayed with its key ingredients when they arrive.
