I lost my mom too soon, but it gives me so much pleasure to be able to share some of her favorites with you all here at DLM. I can’t tell you the joy I feel when I walk past someone shopping and see my mom’s recipe in their cart!
Creating recipes that most everyone will like is challenging, but frankly quite fun to do. I am more than happy to give my mom credit for some of them. Growing up, she’d tried all sorts of ways to get us kids to eat and enjoy fish beyond tuna noodle casserole. Parmesan Encrusted Tilapia was a hit from day one at our house. Plus as a busy working mom, it has the added bonus of being moist and flavorful without having to fry, flip, and make a big mess. It has been successful here too from the first platter we put in our Gourmet Take Away cases.
Another big seller here at DLM that gives me so much joy to see in carts is my mom’s pasta salad. If you’ve had our bestselling Grape and Blue Cheese Pasta Salad, then you already know how good it is. I think the original recipe came from an outdoor classical music festival cookbook that has long been out of print. Regardless, my brother and sister still love it and my children do, too.
